We love seeing all the beautiful treasures our customers have picked for their little ones and look forward to sharing them with someone else who will love them just as much.  By consigning with us, you are helping reduce landfill waste by giving your kids' clothes a second, third and fourth life. For that reason, during our consignment selection process we give preference to well-made, quality clothes that are in great condition.

Kinderfolk only accepts items that have been freshly laundered and are in good condition.  Please do not bring in items that require repair, mending or spot cleaning.  We do not accept shoes with any debris on them. Please ensure all items and folded and placed in a shopping bag or clear bin.  Kinderfolk only selects small shop and quality brands items.   

HOW TO CONSIGN AT KINDERFOLK?

PLEASE EMAIL US TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT!

* Please bring all consignment items in ONE strong, reusable bags with handles (or  small clear plastic bin with lid).  Please limit the amount you bring in per visit to one large shopping bag or one bin.


* We only accept gently used or new with tags condition and all items must be freshly laundered. Shoes must be completely cleaned in the wash, with no mud, rocks or debris on them of any kind. Do not bring in items the require repairs, mending or spot cleaning.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are currently accepting all seasons for ages newborn to 10Y. Winter clothes, jackets and boots are in highest demand. Kinderfolk only selects small shop and quality brands items. Preference is given to kids brands such as:

CONSIGNMENT POLICY

By consigning with kinderfolk, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Your items will be priced according to their condition, appeal and market value based on similar items.

  2. kinderfolk will only assess items in-store. We do not quote prices or process intake by phone or email.

  3. We do not offer payment in advance.  As the consigner, you will receive 45% of the net sale price upon sale of the item (paid by cheque once a month at a time set by the shop) or receive 55% in store credit to use towards any item in the shop (both new or preloved items). In-store credit cannot be converted to cash at a later date.

  4. Consignment items can take up to 14 days to feature on the sales floor as well as to process depending on the volume of intake at the time.

  5. Consignment items will remain on the sales floor for atleast 120 days. Consigner will be required to pick up all unsold items within 7 days of notification or items will be donated to a local charity. Consigner must also pick up any of their items that were not selected for consignment at kinderfolk within 7 days of drop off.

  6. Consigner holds the right to remove their items early from kinderfolk, however the consigner agrees to give 72 hours notice by phone or email to request items be removed. A service fee of $1 per item will be applied.

  7. Consigner agrees in advance to their items receiving a 20-50% off sale price at any time to align with store sales and promotions.

  8. Any items requiring cleaning or mending will be subject to a $1 service fee deducted from the sale of the item. This fee will be agreed upon between the consigner and kinderfolk staff in advance.

  9. kinderfolk does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged items. All risk of ownership of consigned items shall stay with the consigner.
