CONSIGN YOUR GENTLY USED OR NEW WITH TAGS CLOTHING

 

 

We love seeing all the beautiful treasures our customers have picked for their little ones and look forward to sharing them with someone else who will love them just as much.  By consigning with us, you are helping reduce landfill waste by giving your kids' clothes a second, third and fourth life. For that reason, during our consignment selection process we give preference to well-made, quality clothes that are in great condition.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


We are taking:
- back-to-school fall/winter clothing
- *interesting* matching sets
- Rain and winter wear
- Halloween themed clothes (think cute H&M pullovers or Bambi & Birdie PJs)
- Holiday wear
- Priority for ages 2T-8Y

We are NOT taking:
- summer wear (unless it is on the list of brands below and you understand it will not be sold until next season)
- baby items 0-18m
- footwear
- any in play condition (or GUC on the verge of play).
 We are not taking baby clothes or any play condition items at this time.
 
Brands -
As always, our focus is local first - Jax + Lennon, Parade, Little & Lively (we miss you!) or Bambi & Birdie. Local also includes local shops like Looby Doo, Not for Long and Little Baby Leaf. We also give preference to items that are organic/ non-toxic brands (ie. Hannah Andersson, Kate Quinn, Mini Mioche, etc).  Rylee + Cru (from Looby Doo) is always in high demand. Fast-fashion is taken in limited amounts (no play condition) and the focus is on trendy items like character sets, cute dresses, cool patterns, nice sweaters or outerwear.  We accept outwear for good quality brands (MEC, Patagonia, The North Face).

CONSIGNMENT POLICY

By consigning with kinderfolk, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Your items will be priced according to their condition, appeal and market value based on similar items.
  2. kinderfolk will only assess items in-person by appointment. We do not quote prices or process intake by phone or email.
  3. We do not offer payment in advance.  As the consignor, you will receive 45% of the net sale price upon sale of the item (paid monthly, at a time set by the shop - usually mid-month) or receive 55% in store credit to use towards any item in the shop (both new or preloved items). In-store credit cannot be converted to cash at a later date. EMTs are subject to a $1.50 fee.
  4. Consignment items can take at least 14 days to feature on sale depending on store volume at the time. Items not in season are held back until seasonally appropriate.
  5. Consignment items will remain on sale for 100 days during which time 45% of the sale will go to the consigner. After 100 days the items will be donated to charity.
  6. The consigner acknowledges that Kinderfolk does not return unsold consignment items.
  7. The consigner acknowledges that after 100 days unsold items are the property of Kinderfolk and will be donated to a local charity.
  8. Consignor agrees in advance to their items receiving a 20-50% off reduction in price after 30 days on the sales floor.
  9. Any items requiring cleaning or mending will be donated to charity.
  10. kinderfolk does not assume responsibility for lost or damaged items. All risk of ownership of consigned items shall stay with the consignor.

 

Kinderfolk only accepts items that have been freshly laundered and are in good condition.  Please do not bring in items that require repair, mending or spot cleaning.  We do not accept shoes. Please ensure all items and folded and placed in a shopping bag or clear bin.  Kinderfolk only selects small shop and quality brands items.
